October 2025 Half Term Revision Courses

Our October half-term GCSE and A-level courses give students an early opportunity to consolidate learning, address any challenges in the syllabus, and build exam confidence. Running at Basingstoke Sports Centre, these courses are ideal preparation for November/December mocks.

These courses give students the opportunity to learn under the guidance of a PhD-qualified Science and Maths specialist.

GCSE Revision Courses

@ Basingstoke Sports Centre

We’re running two focused, week-long GCSE revision courses this year. You can choose to join us for the full 7-day programme to cover every key topic in depth, or pick and attend individual days that focus on the specific subjects you’d like to strengthen. The choice is completely flexible — simply select the sessions that best match your needs from the topic list below.

Course Dates & Times

  • Maths: 27/10/25 - 2/11/25 (1pm - 2:45pm each day)
  • Science: 3/11/25 - 9/11/25 (4.30pm - 6:15pm each day)

Course Structure

Each course runs from Monday to Sunday, with one lesson per day.

  • Lesson length: 1 hour 45 minutes
  • Group size: Maximum of 8 students

Lesson Format

Every session is expertly structured to maximise learning, build confidence, and develop exam-ready skills:

  • 40 minutes: Masterclass on a key topic – ensures full understanding
  • Focused practice: Builds confidence under exam conditions
  • Extended practice: Develops problem solving skills
  • Homework practice: Study material/questions tailored to each student’s ability – allows further consolidation and personalised revision outside the classes
  • Google Classroom: Each course has a bespoke Google Classroom where lesson content, resources, and homework problems are shared – ideal for review and independent study

The Tutor

The courses will be led by Dr Dylan Lewis, a full-time Maths and Science tutor educated to PhD level.

Dr Lewis completed his PhD in Radiation Physics at the University of Surrey and went on to work as a senior researcher developing advanced detection systems for nuclear security applications. Alongside his research career, he has over eight years of full-time tutoring experience, helping students achieve top grades in both GCSE and A level exams.
